This student brief asked us to design branding and a rollout for a Wes Anderson Film Festival presented by the British Film Institute. Wes Anderson's curated color palettes were the inspiration for my design. I wanted to create a modern and whimsical feel to the brand, pairing custom type packages (Futura with a twist) and dot patterns in palettes specific to each film.
Synchro USA Event
Splash Bash 2018 is a student project created to imagine an event that could help Synchro USA build interest and membership in synchronized swimming across the US. The precision, grace, and strength of synchronized swimmers as well as the bright poppy colors of a summer pool party inspired this design.
This is a reimagining of the cover design for Kazuo Ishiguro’s 2005 dystopian novel Never Let Me Go. The student brief asked us to create a handmade design. I chose free-hand embroidery to depict the themes of connection and loss present throughout the book. I enjoy incorporating textiles into a design to add depth and texture.
This student project is an annual report for the imaginary theme park, Luna Land. The surreal blur after a day spent riding roller coasters and munching on funnel cakes inspired this design.
On the outskirts of a tiny village in Salento, a violent storm, an ancient olive grove, and a bit of luck combined to create southern Italy’s most prestigious olive oil. That is the story behind Olio Tempesta. This student brief asked that I create a brand and packaging for olive oil that would appeal to meteorologists. Storm clouds and the art deco signage prevalent throughout much of southern Italy inspired this design.
